My journey with Freshworks
When I thought of kick-starting my interest in writing blogs, my mind started hunting for the amazing topic that would be apt for my first write-up. The next moment a lot of things started jumping up. I began pumping myself with too many subjects. Would it be fine to write about my role? Should I speak about the most viral COVID-19? or how to be productive by working from home? These questions made me indecisive about what to pick.
When I was dwelling in this pool, suddenly a thought struck me why not my journey with Freshworks, my own experience. The environment made me realise that I can do decent writing.
I wanted to commence by illustrating the opportunity I got for my interview with this incredible organisation. At that point, I nevertheless knew my life would take a twist. It was an evening after Diwali during November of 2018 when I received a call from an HR recruiter in Freshworks. She quickly stated that my CV was shortlisted for a telephonic interview and asked to be well prepared about the organisation and its products. Those were the days when I was desperate for an interview call because I badly needed a vent out. The ball of surprise came in. I was clueless about SAAS neither the role I was interviewed as well. With all the courage picked up, I started preparing like it was my board exams. A glimpse of those horrible days flashed my mind for an instant. The interview day flew by, and I was invited for an on-campus round. The moment I was told that the company takes care of my travel by air, I solely rejoiced like a child. I had travelled by air before, but this time it seemed all different. Yeah, I was super proud as if I got the job. The day arrived, and my interview process got over on a happy note.
After a week later, I joined Freshworks as a Product Consultant. Yes, it was that quick. Mesmerised by the office, and my mind began to wander around picking the places to click pictures. Haha yeah, my Instagram was all set for a year. I was excited to pursue my passion. I would still laugh at the moment my manager told me the reason I was chosen.
Days rushed by and it was already a year. The learning I gained in this period is something that I will cherish and carry forever. I took up a lot of challenges that helped me gain recognition. Keeping work aside, I was wowed by the importance people hold towards fitness. Never in my existence, I imagined about running marathons and doing yoga. But Freshworks and people here made that magic to happen. I was geared up for yoga all-day and ran crazy that I broke my leg. With every injury, I was motivated to rise.
I would always look back on things that this company gave me. A proud Freshworks employee as always!
